This was my Date Night outfit for Saturday. It was such a lovely time. We started off the evening with reservations at Ipanema Grille. This restaurant is fantastic. The staff is kind and attentive, the Rodizio is to die for (and no food poisoning like Bridesmaids, which I maybe modeled this outfit after a little…), and the grilled pineapple with cinnamon dessert was SO GOOD. Brad and I could’ve probably sat there for another 30-60 minutes just eating different meats and drinking our selected adult beverages (sangria for me, Brazilian beer for him). However, we had other engagements…a showing of 50/50, which I absolutely loved (and cried so much I didn’t look all that great afterwards). We finished it off with a drink at the casino (and I maybe won a little bit of cash).
Anyway, this post is about the outfit. I definitely love this, and I did model the blazer/babydoll dress after Kristen Wiig in Bridesmaids. It’s a can’t-go-wrong combo. I am obsessed with over-the-knee socks, and I’ve been looking forward to incorporating them into my wardrobe again. This pair, which my sister got me as a gift this past Christmas, happens to perfectly match this little dress. I finished off the outfit with my pair of Bass Weejuns (my first wear…gonna need some breaking in). So, even though I was channeling Bridesmaids on top, I felt like I was channeling Clueless on the bottom. And there ain’t nothing wrong with that.

Fun Fact about these pictures: We were running late for everything on Saturday, so I actually put the outfit on again on Sunday.
I just loved it that much. I’m a nerd. So there ya go.
Lovely! I´d love to fall at your feet, carefully remove these beautiful loafers and spend a lot of hours smelling your cute socks!
