Etsy Lust List: Fun With Words

It’s been quite some time since I’ve done an Etsy list (last post here). Not that I’m not still looking at Etsy…I just haven’t compiled a list.
The following several items all have to do with words in some way. So there’s a theme, and I like that.

etsy1

This shirt is basically my life. I first saw it on Elsie’s (of A Beautiful Mess) Instagram. I have been, and probably always will be, perpetually late to almost everything. I just don’t know how to get to places on time…or I do, I just…don’t do it. When Elsie posted about it, there was a joke made about being pregnant, which is also a funny spin (she isn’t and neither am I haha).
I love the simplicity of the printed words and the truth they hold for me. You can find it on the shop Print Liberation (straight outta Philly!), where they have plenty of other neat shirts as well.

etsy2

If you’re a fan of GIRLS like I am, you may recognize Katie Kutthroat’s designs. Her “You’re a Hooker” cross-stitch held a spot in Hannah and Marnie’s apartment the first season, and if you use the app GetGlue, you probably got all ten of her wonderful episode inspired designs.
I would love any of the Girls cross-stitches, but I especially love this “Beer Me” magnet. If you’re a fan of The Office, this is probably important to you. I think it would be excellent on a refrigerator. Especially filled with beer. Can someone beer this for me?

etsy3

If I had this Alphabet Number Rolling Decoration Stamp, I can guarantee that everything I own would end up stamped. I think it would be especially lovely for my books, to personalize the inside cover. You can find it at the Glassnam shop.

etsy4

If you read the blog, you know my love of John Green’s novels. Looking for Alaska is one of my favorite books ever, so you understand why I want this necklace, which showcases one of my most favorite lines (of a zillion good lines) in the book. You can find, and many awesome pieces of jewelry like it, on Authored Adornments.

And that’s all for now!

Etsy Lust List: Halloween Edition!

Hey, guys, Halloween is just about 2 weeks away! Have you picked out your costumes? Have you decorated your home? Have you purchased candy for trick-or-treaters only to find yourself eating all of it? If not, you better start!
Okay, I haven’t done any of that either. In fact, I’m not sure I’ll be dressing up/celebrating Halloween this year.
But I still love everything about it. Why not? It’s fun!

Anyway, I decided to share some Halloween-centric items from my Etsy favorites this month. The thing is, things like this are expected this time of year, but it’s perfect normal and awesome to want to get creepy at any time during the year. Live everyday like it’s Halloween.
Or some days. Life’s too short.

etsy4

I have been lusting over sweater clips/sweater guards for a while now. They are just so awesome and add an unexpected charm to your outfit.
This Skeleton Key Sweater Clip is super chic with just the perfect amount of creep. I have love skeleton hand jewelry and hair pieces, and I love the pizazz these have been given. You can find them on the super-awesome Etsy store Rabbit Heart Designs.

etsy2

Speaking of Rabbit Heart Designs, I follow Sara’s Instagram and I fell in love with the coffin ring she wears that you can see here.
Unfortunately, she doesn’t make those rings (it was a purchase from a long while ago) so I had to set out and see if I can find some myself. That’s when I found these from Alice, Dear. They make coffins super cute, no?

etsy1

Peter Pan Collar necklaces are all over the place right now, and with great purpose. They are super cute! I was looking at a variety when this one caught my eye. I love the multi-colored skulls. It’s like creepy candy. Once again, this is something you could wear year round.
This one is available on Sultry Affair, along with other Peter Pan necklaces and lots of cool jewelry.

etsy3

I have never played with a Ouija board in my life for the sheer fact that they are so frightening. Despite that, they are pretty cool-looking.
This iPhone case is quite awesome and can be found on Undead Pinups.

etsy5

I couldn’t have a Halloween-centric post without a shout out to my favorite mystical (real?) creatures, vampires!
I love these decorative signs from Slippin’ Southern. You can guarantee those fangs would be up 24/7/365.

That’s all for now!
Don’t forget to click on the pics for direct links to the items!

Etsy Lust List : Semi-Fall Edition

It’s that time again! Here are some of the things I’ve added to my Etsy favorites lately.
Since the change of season is thisclose, I decided to keep this Autumn-centric.
I so wish I had money. I make too many lust lists and don’t own a thing.

etsy1

This upcycled leather necklace from Gwaen’s Handmade Goods is too cool. For starters, it’s a beautiful, interesting piece that would make even the plainest of white tees super cool. But add in the fact that it’s from little scraps of leather being put to use instead of wasted, and it gets that much cooler. On the site, the colors are described as fruity. But I see fall foliage, the early stages of the seasonal change.
I also see a nod to this…love it or hate it, you can’t deny it’s cool.

etsy4

I have this issue where, no matter how small I try to make my purse, I always end up filling it to the gills and wearing it out. A clutch has pretty much always been out of the question for me. But the more weddings and showers and little events I have to go to, I wish I had something sweet and simple to throw a bit of cash, my phone, and some lip gloss in. Those are the occasions that carrying a large purse is kind of embarrassing. This is a simple linen clutch from Sassy Stitches by Lori, but it’s the simplicity that makes it easy to mix with anything. And I love mustard yellow. It’s a great color year round, but it pops with all the browns and reds we’ll see this fall.

etsy3

The neutral colors of these bows make them perfect for this time of year, but they also give me a back-to-school vibe. Sometimes bows and barrettes can appear childish, but mixed with a cute high bun or a nice twist of the bangs, it can be grown-up-ified. If the neutrals aren’t your thing, there are plenty of other colors to choose from on Loft Full of Goodies.

etsy2

These little soaps (yes, SOAPS) are just the cutest things. Aubrey Elizabeth Apothecary has a ton of food shaped soaps that look good enough to eat, but I just fell over at the sight of these. Then you read the scent…pumpkin lager inspired. Pumpkin, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon…
I would want to use them all up but keep them because they are so cute.

And that’s all for this month!

Etsy Lust List

Here’s this month’s list of wonderful Etsy things I wish I owned.

etsy1

This Bunting Flag necklace from Rare Indeed is super cute. I’d love these adorable flags hanging from the ceiling, so it’d be like a party around my neck! This entire shop is chockfull of super cute, unique, handmade items. I’d be happy with anything.

etsy3

This coffee cup ornament has the molecules for caffeine on it, which is cute already. But add the little pocket for gift cards and messages and I’m in love! What. No Mints? is filled with hand-sewn geekery. I think this would be such a sweet gift for anyone!

etsy2

When I was in college, I was attracted to crazy beaded necklaces, obnoxiously large hoop earrings, and chunky plastic rings. I’m not knocking that jewelry, and I still love a good kitschy piece (hello, Hello Kitty ring!), but I’ve become a bit more simplistic.
This Little Bird Ring from Proteales is so delicate and precious.

etsy5

I have nearly every item on Flapperdoodle saved on my favorites, but I narrowed my blog choice to these adorably sweet pendants.
Eloise and Ernest Play Telephone makes me super happy. I love that the she’s chatting and he’s just listening. I don’t know what I would do with these, but they are just so sweet and lovely and adorable…like everything else in the shop.

Etsy Lust List

Oh, Etsy…how I love thee. If only I had the money to buy all the adorable things I find on this fantastic site.
I feel bad that there are still people who don’t know the wonders of Etsy.

etsy1

I have always loved rock-and-roll tank tops, with arm holes so wide you could show off a fun floral bra or shiny bandeau. You can make your own, which is mighty crafty and cool, or you could check out So You Think You Can Rock?, an awesome shop I stumbled upon while looking through treasuries. It’s impossible to find something you wouldn’t like. They have all kinds of shapes and lengths, but this
classic Radiohead shirt caught my eye. Hard to choose just one shirt, though.

etsy2

I am not the watch-wearing type, and I don’t really need to check the time with my trust iPhone on me at all times, but this Double Faced Watch from Sodalex is utterly charming. I’d be staring at the time all day. Sodalex has a lot of beautiful pieces, but this one really stood out to me. I just might have to take this item for the lust list and put it in my jewelry collection.

etsy3

I love reading so much, I’d gladly wear my pride on my chest. And that’s easy to do with this adorable Leather Book Stack Necklace from Baggy Fitted. Once again, this shop is stacked with tons of adorable handmade goodies. I wish I could go to the Greenwich Market London on Saturdays and shop the stuff in person. I’ll have to settle for lusting for now…

etsy4

My love for Misfits is strong. I don’t know if you can consider it a love…it’s more an obsession, an addiction. I’m glad to say I’ve turned a few of my friends onto the show too, so we can butcher Cockney accents and make references all the live long day (much to everyone else’s annoyance). But I’m serious…WHY AREN’T YOU WATCHING THIS SHOW???? During a strong fit of obsession, I decided to search Etsy for cool handmade things by fans of the show. These dolls blew my mind. They are adorable and accurate. Dangercat Dolls has a small variety of dolls based on various other strong points of pop culture. These just happen to be my favorite.

That’s all ‘til next month!!

Etsy Lust List

Just some things I’ve been falling for on Etsy

etsy1

I love these Geo Rings from A Merry Mishap. They are sold separately, but how could you choose just one color? There are so many pretty pastels. Plus, they look super cute in a cluster like in this picture. I’ve always liked the multi-ring look.

etsy4

How adorable are these Woodland Creatures necklaces from Spotlight Jewlery? I wouldn’t know which animal to pick.

etsy3

I’d never thought to look for beauty items on Etsy, but one of my favorite nail art blogs, Little Nails, mentioned her purchase of a few nail polishes from Lush Lacquer. They are super glittery. I especially love this color, Chubby Checker.

etsy5

It’s super hard to pick just one lady tie from Flapper Girl. There are so many adorable designs and colors to choose from! I settled on showcasing the Galaxy print, but there are quite a few different ones in my Favorites.

etsy2

I had to share these lovely succulents from San Pedro Cactus. I first saw them on Etsy’s Pinterest, and on the shop they are all described as sets for wedding or bridal shower favors. I absolutely love that idea. That’s something I don’t have to worry about for a while, but what a great idea. I know I’m in love with my little succulent garden (I’ve named her Susan, by the way), and I’d love to share that joy!

Etsy Lust List

More things to love over on Etsy. I only pick a few things for the blog, but I honestly can get lost on that site for hours.

chaingarter

I don’t know if I’d wear this chain garter from The River Is Everywhere, but it is certainly a beautiful, interesting and unexpected accessory.
I’d like to give it a try.

8bitbow

Remember playing with those beads you could melt with an iron? Look at how nifty they can be utilized now!
I love this 8-Bit Bow from Geeky Gamer. Another awesome accessory.

doughnut

It is hard for me to see a doughnut and not want to consume it with all the fire in my heart. It’d be nearly impossible not to want to eat these cute earrings from Baby Pie Tattoo, but that wouldn’t turn out very well. Regardless, they are cute. But I might gain weight because every time I’d look in the mirror, I’d be running off to Dunkin’ Donuts.

snood

Don’t you sometimes wish you were a teenager/young adult in the 1940s/50s. I sure do! The style was so beautiful, so simple and sweet, modest yet figure-flattering. This crocheted snood from Arthelia’s Attic is perfection. What a perfect way to say goodbye to a bad hair day!

The more I look at Etsy, the bigger my list of favorites grows. It’s outstanding that I’ve been able to keep myself restrained. There are so many things I would love to have, but I usually end up admiring from a far and hoping to come up with some extra cash.

Since my last Etsy Lust List post, Etsy has become one of my regularly viewed websites. My Favorites list keeps growing and growing.
I haven’t made a purchase since before the holidays, but I’m hoping to land one (or more) of the following items in the near future.
It’s hard to do that, though, when you really need to watch your money (and the items move SO FAST)!

Etsy Lust List

This year, I’ve been doing my Christmas shopping online. I admit that it can kind of break the holiday spirit a little. There’s something about all the decorations and Christmas music blasting in the mall and various stores. I definitely don’t miss the large crowds and messy inventory, though. Plus, I can get more creative with my online shopping. And a lot of it has been getting done on Etsy.

I’m almost embarrassed to admit that I’m fairly new to Etsy. I’ve checked out a few shops on the site here and there, but I never made a purchase until a couple of weeks ago. Needless to say, I’ve become rather addicted. There is so much to love about the site.
Supporting small and super creative businesses, often affordable prices, and amazing customer service.
I can’t wait to receive all the little trinkets I’ve purchased for my friends.
’Til then, it can’t hurt to look for some things for myself…right?
