Outfit: Party on the Patio

My friends have taken to attending Party on the Patio Thursday nights at the casino. The old lady inside of me was weary at first, considering it’s a bit of a drive and it’s on a work night. Regardless, it is a fun time and a good excuse to get out of the weekly work funk and have some fun. And, I suppose, it’s a great prelude to the weekend! We are pretty much the youngest people in the crowd, but it’s still a good time. And, as you know, I enjoy any opportunity to get decked out, laugh, and be around friends.

Dress – ASOS/Sandals – Old Navy/(Toe)Nail Polish – Essie “Guilty Pleasures”

I ordered this dress from ASOS a week before my birthday. It was at a time when I had claimed I wouldn’t be buying anymore articles of clothing for a while. Actually, I’m not sure I have since. But when I saw this dress in the Clearance section and that sizes were dwindling, I had to have it. And I love it. It’s light and airy, and the cut-out shoulders add a bit of interest to the piece. I’ve already worn it once before, so I couldn’t wait to break it out again. I paired it with a pair of gladiator sandals I bought back in 2008. They are a bit worn and 3 of the 4 buckles are broken in some way or another but they don’t budge and have stood the test of time thus far.

My sister was nice enough to take the pics for me. I really thought she was gonna complain, but she went gung-ho, sprawling out on the ground and telling me how to pose. And, the shots came out amazing. There are tons more, but I’m sure you don’t care to see a dozen photos of just me! But, as it always is with my sister, there was tons of laughter involved. So there’s more than one shot like this:

Yeah…that’s embarrassing.
