A fact about me…

I am a very lazy person. I’ve been wanting to clean and organize my room for months…heck, years…and I have yet to follow through. My car looks like a magazine-loving hobo resides in it. When debating whether I should exercise (even for 10 minutes!) or not, I usually go with the “not” option. But all I had to do was squirt a little of Philosophy’s Sugary Cinnamon Icing lotion and I was out the door, in the beginnings of a snow storm, rushing to the grocery story to buy a roll of Pillsbury cinnamon rolls. This is not the first time I’ve stopped everything for food. And it won’t be the last. Now…if only I could I have the same determination towards the bigger issues…

Blah-day

Seriously, why do Mondays pretty much always suck? Don’t get me wrong, if it’s a day off or there is beautiful weather it can be great. But for the most part, it’s usually crappy.

I had every intention of doing laundry (which I’ll still probably will do), cleaning my room, and staying active.

Instead, I threw on some sweats, considered a rather large bowl of Crispix my dinner, and fell asleep briefly while watching Greek on Hulu.

Oh yes, folks.
Welcome to the awesomeness that is MY LIFE!

The Great Indoors…

It’s been oddly chilly these last couple days. I guess it shouldn’t be too weird considering it still isn’t officially summer yet. But that’s literally right around the corner. So hopefully the anticipated heatwave coming this weekend will stick around for the next few months.

Anyways, considering I always find myself running around or surrounding myself with friends, I was thankful to come home from work, throw on some comfy clothes and watch Youth in Revolt. I liked it, even though it is getting to the point where Michael Cera pretty much plays Michael Cera in every movie he’s in. But still, I enjoyed it and would probably give it another go at a later date. I’m also enjoying a tasty Wildberry Banana smoothie (with whipped cream, always). Days like this, when I’m constantly in a fetal cuddling position, almost make it impossible to sleep. But I need to rest, because I plan on having a fun-filled (albeit sweaty) weekend. Wine festival, swimming, more than one adult beverage, and eventually celebrating Father’s Day! Oh, and it’s finally a full weekend of freedom. To top it all off, my sister Maria comes home tomorrow and I’ll have a full week to hang out with her before she heads off to Florida, like she always tends to do in the summertime. Tons to be happy about.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Loungin’

Today was the last day of my three-day weekend. I’ve only been waiting for about a month, and now it’s basically over. Why must time move so quickly when you don’t want it to? Since I spent Friday night and most of Saturday and Sunday out of the house, stayin’ in and doing nothing was just what the doctor ordered.

I…

  • did a 20 minute workout from my hip-hop dance exercise DVD. It was exhausting but fun, so I’d definitely recommend it.
  • did a bit of laundry.
  • ate a Southwest salad from McDonald’s. So yummy.
  • made two separate Blockbuster runs. I might even make one more before the night is over.
  • purchased a couple of things from Urban Outfitters online.
  • ate three different types of fried cheese products and drank one delicious Strawberry Banana smoothie, all from Sheetz.
  • took a nap.
  • read the usual blogs and searched for some new ones.
  • used self-control to not purchase some Threadless tees (they are having a $10 sale…go here to check out all the cute styles!)

sheetz I’m sad that I have to go back to work tomorrow. But it’s a 4 day week, so maybe it’ll go by quickly. And then I have another work-free weekend to enjoy. Tossing around a couple different fun ideas, and hopefully I’ll have one settled soon.

If you had the day off like me, I hope you made the most of it!

Fall Forward

060{I love the sunset, I have too many pictures like this}

I had a really lazy, relaxing day today. I hadn’t realized it, but I haven’t been home that much this week. I took a walk around the neighborhood so I didn’t get stir-crazy, and I came up with a great idea for a shoot involving as many of my friends as possible. I will not be revealing it until I actually start to take the pictures.

I’m not feeling very confident in my new hobby these days, but I know that practice makes perfect and I’m really trying to work on that.

I just need to continue to gather inspiration.

And in other news, it was chilly today. Even the sunset looked more fall than summer. I know that summer is still technically  on…but I can definitely feel it ending.

Gloomy and Gray

I’m not anticipating the best weekend, especially since the only thing I have going for me right now is work tomorrow.

But it looks like rain all day today. So relaxing with the Order of the Phoenix, some magazines, movies, and good food sounds pretty perfect to me.

Downpour

Unless I’ve been planning on doing one of various outdoor activities, I love the rain. I always have. Perhaps its because, when the weather is warm and clear, you’re expected to go go go. And while I love being active and being out of the house for as long as possible, waking up to what sounds like a torrential downpour is strangely comforting to me.

It’s the one time when people actually stay in the house and finally relax. If you go somewhere, its usually the video store or the pizza place, to grab the essentials for cuddling and staying inside all day.

I have work tonight, unfortunately, which means I will be driving 30 minutes on I-81 in this mess.006And considering I do have plans to be outside tomorrow, I hope this weather doesn’t stay. However, for now, even though I’ll be leaving for work in a couple of hours, I’ll be making a grilled cheese sandwich and sitting inside, cozy, listening to the raindrops on the windows.

Lazy.

I cannot get outta my bed these days, completely dressed or stripped down to the bone. I am in love with turning off most of the lights and gazing at the computer all day. This is a problem. I pride myself on not watching much TV (Lost and Flight of the Conchords are the only things I make sure to catch every week). However, I've replaced it with hours on the internet, looking at blogs and clothing sites, wishing I had an exciting life. As much as I love it, come the end of spring break I have too get this showboat on the road. No more dillydallying. Good times, good drinks, and loads of memories. TIME IS FLYING.

But how can you resist something as cozy as this?
