Need to do.

It’s a common pattern. I get great ideas or I want to change something about myself and SURPRISE! I am so fucking lazy, I don’t follow through. It’s getting pathetic.

I need to…

• start saving money (not doing too shabby here, but I could do better)
• figure out what I want to do and get the heck outta here
• eat healthier (just went on a grocery shopping excursion. It was successful, but will my laziness keep me from making sandwiches and salads and putting everything together?)
• walk/exercise more (little by little, baby steps)
• start cleaning up my room and reorganizing it to make it my “sanctuary” (I’ve only been talking about this since I moved back into the house…MAY 2009!)
• following through on shoot ideas and creative outlets (seriously, check out my tumblr…I’m having a lot of fun, I just need new material)
• follow my heart above all things

Uh oh. I’m doing that thing where I make my blog sorta personal. I guess it always was. Not too much…but yeah. I guess I kind of see this as my online journal that other people can read and possibly not feel so alone. Or look at for two seconds, yawn, and click off the page. Whatever, it makes me happy.

New places

I had been wanting to stage a bit of a shoot in the strippin’s (old coal mine crap) for a while now. So I wanted to scope out the scene. I thought I would just check out the area across from my neighborhood, but Ed decided to show me the long way. And ya know what? I am so glad he did. Sure, it’s just a bunch of mounds of old coal crap being dug up and separated and whatnot. But it was peaceful and beautiful in the strangest way.

I kept thinking of the movie Garden State, when they encounter the “abyss.”

I need to get a pair of hiking shoes. And I need to find more hidden places to look at in awe. I like seeing beauty in the little things we overlook or forget about. And I like having my eyes opened to new things.

Fisheye

Oh man, I’m going to miss summer. But, the chilly weather has actually brought a strange hopefulness with it. As much as I’m not excited for jacket weather, chattering teeth, and making an effort to put on my shoes, it’s time for change. And I feel like it might be for the better…

Sick Day

I wish we all took care of ourselves.
I wish we focused on all the good things in life, the things we love to do, the people we love.
I wish we all didn’t break ourselves for the paycheck.

I have faith in happiness. I hope everyone is doing what they love at some point in their lives.

I hope everyone looks back and remembers all the wonderful times.

I hope everyone remembers what’s really important.
