Sort of obsessed with Florence + the Machine lately. Florence has the most amazing voice, I love the incorporation of the harp, and I love that each song is very epic and theatrical. What’s not to love really? Plus, I adore red hair. And she rocks it well.

No Room for the Blues
Bought a new nail polish last week. OPI brand, No Room for the Blues. I was slightly obsessed with finding a nice matte blue after seeing an interview with MIA for NME. The color was so unexpected and alluring. I couldn’t stop looking at my toes the first day I painted them. I believe I made the perfect color choice. And it’s a nice change from my usual pinks and dark reds.
Redscale Fisheye
I’m pretty pleased with my first round of Redscale film. Unfortunately, quite a few didn’t come out (I know for a fact I took two with the cap on accidentally, and I guess I didn’t get enough light with the bulb mode at night). The photos look even better in print, but obviously I can’t show them to you like that. Here are some of my favorite prints. Enjoy!

My Weekend in Photos
It’s funny. Work could suck all week, I could be grumpy or tired, but no matter what my weekend is always pretty great. Even if it’s simple. Or complicated. I just wish it would decide to stick around a little longer for a change…
Dinner and Get Him to the Greek with Brad on Saturday. Started off the night with a large Wildberry Banana smoothie (shared) from Sheetz. Yum.
Roamed around Philly on Sunday. Food at Cosi, gelato at Capogiro, sore feet, beautiful (hot) weather, and an amazing show played by The Morning Benders and Broken Bells. I officially have a crush on Chris Chu. Sad I didn’t make more of an effort to meet him at the merch booth in between sets. But it was a blast regardless. Great music, great people, great summer days.

Happiness hit her like a train on a track…
Things have been great lately. Summer is starting up. Even if I have to work everyday, there’s still plenty of time to enjoy it. Everything is falling into place. I can feel myself prioritizing my life in a new way.
Usually I’d worry that, with everything going so well, it’s the calm before the storm. But for once, I’m determined not to let that happen. Because everything that could happen wouldn’t matter anyways, and there is still so much in the world to be thankful for.
